With a combined 50 years of Southern California living, Heather and Kristen have explored every corner of the region. Thanks to a shared passion for travel and an appreciation for the finer things, they have unearthed a plethora of hidden gems and experiences.

Their friendship began in 2015 when they met as kindergarten parents. They bonded over volunteer commitments, raising daughters, and a love for international adventures. From Kyoto to Crete and Fiji to remote towns in France, their travels have helped them realize what they appreciate from a trip – worry-free journeys, unique outings, and authentic local flavor. All that learning has been integrated into Uncommon Trip.

A California Native, Heather lived in Santa Barbara and Newport Beach before making her way to Los Angeles. She’s worked in marketing for a Fortune 500 company and as a USC-trained psychotherapist. With a deep understanding of the city’s vibrant restaurants and a love for cooking and paddle boarding, her enthusiasm drives her to find her next adventure.

Kristen spent her formative years in the Southeastern U.S. before making her way to Los Angeles. She’s had a successful career in advertising, planning media for Acura and Toyota. Her meticulous attention to detail led her to open her own professional organizing business working for Disney executives and female business founders. She still finds time to hike with her family and her dog and catch sunsets at the beach.
